What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments & Product Ratings
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
We ask for minimal personal information on any contact forms on the site. Our contact forms do not store any personal data when used. We will receive an email with any information you provided when filling out the contact form.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
We use Google Analytics to analyze our website traffic. IP addresses are anonymized in our Google Analytics data.
Who we share your data with
If you chose to opt-in to our mailing list when purchasing a product, your email and name will be shared with MailChimp only for the purpose of communicating product updates and new offerings with you. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the any email received.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Please make such requests from our contact page.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Name and email, along with the amount of your purchase may be sent to MailChimp if you opt-in to our newsletter for product updates and offers.
Your contact information
We collect the minimum amount of data to process your orders and deliver emails to you such as receipts, order confirmations, and (if you join our newsletter) product updates and offers. This may include your name and email address. We do not share your information with any 3rd parties except where necessary to fulfill your order or communicate with you via the newsletter. Those might include services like MailChimp, PayPal, and Stripe.
How we protect your data
We start by collecting the minimum amount of data necessary to complete your order and communicate with you. We do not ask for addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information. Your name and email address are stored in a password protected database.
Your password, should you chose to set one, is also hashed/encrypted before being stored in the database.
We never send passwords in plain text via emails.
The web-server is secured and kept up-to-date with the latest security and package updates.
We never store any payment information. That information is kept securely on PayPal or Stripe’s servers.
Your information is not shared with any other 3rd parties not already mentioned above.
What data breach procedures we have in place
Should a data breach occur, we will email all affected users as soon as possible to notify them what data may have been compromised and recommend that the account passwords be updated or the account removed if no longer using it.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
We do not currently use personal user data in decision making or profiling.
